Guidelines for Submission PDF Print E-mail

As part of the submission process, authors are required to comply with all items listed below. Submissions that do not comply with the listed policies, as well as with the guidelines for authors will be returned to the authors.

a) The article is original and unpublished, it is not under review or for publication by another journal, and it will not be submitted to other journals while under review.
b) The article must be submitted in MicrosoftWord (.doc or .docx) and should not exceed 7000 words (including abstract, figures, tables, attachments, and references).
c) Graphs, tables, and images must be submitted in an editable format.
d) The text must follow the journal's guidelines for authors.
e) The document must not contain any automatic insertion of tables, graphs and of references either in the text or in the final list of references (e.g.: EndNote or any other reference manager software).

General rules for text presentation

1) Submissions may be written in Portuguese, English and Spanish;
2) Submissions must be previously unpublished;
3) The cover page must begin with the title in the language of the article (English, Portuguese or Spanish), a title in English if the article is written in Portuguese or Spanish or a title in Portuguese if the paper is written in English. It must include the authors' names in the preferred format (exactly as they are to appear in the published version), with affiliations and complete addresses, including postal (zip) codes. Please indicate clearly who the corresponding author is.
4) The first page must begin with the title in the language of the article (English, Portuguese or Spanish), a title in English if the article is written in Portuguese or Spanish and a title in Portuguese if the paper is written in English.
5) The titles must be followed by an abstract of up to 120 words that clearly expresses the idea of the work. There must be two abstracts: one in English and another in Portuguese if the paper is written in English.
6) Title and running title must not exceed 10 words.
7) The article cannot exceed 7000 words, including notes, references, tables, graphs and images.
8) The article must conform to the following formatting: 1,5 spaced, 11 pt Candara;
9) The article must provide up to 6 keywords separated by semi-colon and with initial lower-case lettering;
10) The texts should have footnotes (not endnotes) which should be printed in 10 pt Candara. Footnotes should not contain full references. Full references should be placed in the references section.
11) Any figures (drawings, figures, tables, photos, etc.) should be present in the body of the article, placed within the space designated for them. In case images are inserted in the work, the author holds the sole responsibility to carry out the necessary measures for getting hold of the rights of reproduction. The journal therefore is not liable for the usage of such images.
